Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony took part in a public service announcement calling for an end to gun violence that will air on Christmas. In the spring, Anthony joined protesters in Baltimore and marched for peace in the riot-torn city.

“The gun should never be an option,” Anthony said in the PSA that Spike Lee directed.

NBA stars Steph Curry, Chris Paul and Joakim Noah also appear in the spot.

“I’ve been through those kinds of situations,” Anthony said. “Dealing with the Baltimore stuff, going down there, knowing how important that is not just in Baltimore but throughout the country, it was a no-brainer for me to do that.”
