Knicks have something to prove in Boston

Everyone will make it about Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett tomorrow because that’s what we do. But it’s Knicks vs. Celtics.
It’s a big game for both teams; as big a late-January game as you can have, especially for the Knicks.
They have struggled in heated, physical playoff-type games. Their 0-3 record against the Bulls – without Derrick Rose – and everyone knows what happened last time against the Celtics.
The Knicks also need the game because the Nets are right behind them in the Atlantic Division, just one-game back heading into tonight’s action. And the season series is tied after the Nets beat the Knicks Monday.
The next tiebreak is division record and the Nets are 9-3 while the Knicks are just 4-3. They need this game.
