The Knicks surprised a lot of people on Thursday afternoon by standing pat at the NBA trade deadline.

Despite rumors about Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose being on the trading block, the Knicks decided to keep their veterans instead of flipping them for younger players or draft picks. That left many people — from fans to Anthony himself — surprised. Anthony wondered after the deadline about team president Phil Jackson’s vision for the Knicks and said he doesn’t know what that vision is.
