You might think otherwise while perusing the Knicks' starting lineup, but David Fizdale insisted once again that the Knicks are not tanking in an effort to land a spot at the top of the NBA Draft.

“I don’t think anybody should just be trying to do that,” Fizdale said. “But you always have to look at the circumstances. And that’s what we’re doing right now. Our circumstance is we have the youngest team in the NBA. And a big part of our future and how good we’re going to be later has to do with a 19-year-olds and a couple 20-year-olds, 22-year-olds and 23-year-olds.

“And people can describe that however they want. But that’s just a matter of fact of where they are. And we have to get better with those guys. My guys come out to win. I don’t give a damn what anybody says about that. I know these guys come to work and I know they come to win. Are they ready to win every night? No.  But I know one thing — we’re coming out to do it every night. So how anybody wants to talk about it, that’s on them, but I know about my guys in the locker room.”
