The Knicks waived five players on Friday, including last year's second-round pick Thanasis Antetokounmpo.
Antetokounmpo, the brother of Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, could resurface on the Knicks' D-League team, where he spent last season.
The Knicks also cut forwards Darion Atkins and DaJuan Summers, guard Travis Trice II and guard/forward Wesley Saunders. They are expected to be on the Westchester Knicks of the D-League.
The Knicks' roster now stands at 14.
