The Knicks may have failed to lure Shannon Brown away from the Lakers, but they could wind up signing San Antonio shooting guard Roger Mason Jr. instead, according to reports. He is expected to sign a one-year contract.

In a YouTube video posted Wednesday, Mason Jr., 29, strongly hinted at the possibility that he'll be playing for the Knicks this season: "What's up, guys? This is Roger Mason Jr. from the San Antonio Spurs and quite possibly, very soon, the New York Knicks," he said.

Mason, a key piece off the bench for the Spurs, averaged a career-high 11.8 points in 30 minutes in 2008-09. But last season he averaged 6.3 points in 19 minutes.

The Knicks would be his fifth NBA team in eight seasons.
