Mike Crispino, Knicks’ radio play-by-play man, won’t return for 2017-18
Mike Crispino, the Knicks’ radio play-by-play man and a fill-in for television coverage, did not have his contract renewed after this past season, MSG Networks confirmed on Thursday.
Crispino called games on radio from 2007 to 2011 and again from 2014 through last season. Spero Dedes was the lead play-by-play man from 2011-14.
Brendan Brown is expected to return as the radio analyst for Knicks games.
“We would like to thank Mike for all his contributions to MSG Networks and wish him well going forward,” an MSG spokesman said.
The New York Post first reported Crispino would not return for 2017-18.
Neil Best first worked at Newsday in 1982, returned in 1985 after a detour to Alaska and has been here since, specializing in high schools, college basketball, the NFL and most recently sports media and business.
