The Knicks were informed on Sunday that they had rescinded the technical foul called against Amar'e Stoudemire in the second quarter against Orlando on Thursday. Stoudemire made a personal appeal to Stu Jackson, the NBA's executive vice president of basketball operations, who decided the "Get that mess out of here" comment after blocking Gilbert Arenas' shot did not deserve a tech.

"But then we also talked about, just for future reference, to be more aware of the situation," said Stoudemire, who is still second in the NBA with nine technical fouls. At 16, a player is suspended for one game.
