Nets deal for Carmelo Anthony dead

        I'm out here at the Knicks' night scrimmage , trying to see if Amar'e Stoudemire is smiling.

       Why? Well, a Nets official confirmed late this afternoon that the deal to bring Stoudemire's buddy Carmelo Anthony to New Jersey is officially dead.

       Does  this mean the Knicks are still in the running? At this point it seems as though anything is possible
