Knicks win in 2 OTs

The Knicks outlasted the Dallas Mavericks, 96-93, in double overtime before a crowd of 19,763 at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks held on despite two last-second Dallas recoveries.

The Mavericks' Michael Finley hit an 18-footer at the regulation buzzer to send the game to overtime. Howard Eisley drilled a three-pointer with one second left in overtime as Dallas (31-19) forced a second overtime.

Latrell Sprewell led the Knicks (29-18) with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Allan Houston had 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds and Marcus Camby added 15 points and 15 rebounds.

The Knicks finished as the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference but lost in five games to Toronto.

The Mavericks beat the Jazz in a first-round series but lost to the Spurs in five games in the next round.

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Philadelphia 76ers in five games in the NBA Finals.
