Former All-Star Tracy McGrady worked out for the Knicks on Thursday, a league source confirmed.

According to Yahoo Sports, which first reported McGrady’s visit with the Knicks, the 15-year veteran and two-time scoring champ is hoping to sign a guaranteed deal with a team before training camps begin. Yahoo also reported that McGrady recently worked out for the San Antonio Spurs.

It seems unlikely the Knicks would offer McGrady a guaranteed deal. McGrady, 33, averaged a career-low 5.3 points over 52 games with the Atlanta Hawks and has been limited due to knee injuries much of the last four seasons.

McGrady spent 24 games with the Knicks during the 2009-10 season and averaged 9.4 points.

The Knicks have 13 players with guaranteed deals.
