But it still remains to be seen what affects the flu will have on Chandler, who still looked tired and weak. In the Knicks 100-67 Game 1 loss, Chandler was scoreless with seven turnovers, including four offensive fouls.
“I was really just a zombie out there,” Chandler said. “I was just trying to give my team some morale and get out there for them, but I knew I wasn’t going to be anything, I didn’t have any strength. I was hoping to give my team a spark but Miami jumped on us.”
Chandler missed the Knicks last regular season game and both practices here because of the flu. He said he expects to be 100 percent for Game 3 Thursday in New York. But he hopes to have more of a positive impact on tonight’s game for the Knicks.
“That’s my plan,” Chandler said. “I’m going to give it everything I got. I’m going to leave it all on the floor. Hopefully I’ll have more energy to get my team going.”
More from Chandler:
“I feel better. I don’t feel 100 percent, but I feel better."
“I’ve been able to eat a couple times. I feel my strength will be back a little bit.”

Davis didn’t play for 10 months with a herniated disc in his back before making his Knicks’ debut Feb. 20. Davis said he’s “not close” to 100 percent now.
“We’ll see what happens,” Davis said. “I’ll play as hard as I possibly can and just try and stay loose on the sidelines and be ready when called upon.
“I don’t know what my minutes will look like. Hopefully I can get us off to a good start and really have no setbacks during the game.”
