The NBA rejected the tinted goggles Dwyane Wade had planned to wear Thursday night because of his recurring migraine symptoms.

After trying out several shades, Wade settled on a pair of dark-tinted goggles, similar to those worn by baseball players. But after inspecting them during Miami's shootaround yesterday morning, the league determined the tinting was too dark and would give Wade an unfair advantage because the opponent could not see his eyes.

Wade, who has had a history of migraines and was unable to play Saturday against Toronto because of one, wore an orange-tinted pair instead.

Teammate LeBron James joked before the game about the goggle ban. "I guess it's just like driving," he said. "When you have too much tint on your car you get pulled over."

No Bosh

Chris Bosh did not travel with the Heat because of a sprained left ankle. The Miami forward, who has not played since Jan. 15 against Chicago, scored 26 points in a 113-91 victory over the Knicks at the Garden.

Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni, however, didn't think facing a Bosh-less Miami team was much of an advantage. "It's just one less player that they have," he said before the game. "They have a bunch of them."

Celebrity sightings

The Knicks had dropped their two previous meetings against Miami, but that didn't stop the stars from coming out in droves. Magic Johnson, radio personality Howard Stern and rapper Kanye West were spotted in the crowd, along with R & B singer Alicia Keys and her husband, rapper/producer Swizz Beatz.
