Young fan runs onto court to hug Carmelo Anthony in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS — A young fan ran on the court toward the end of Monday night’s game and hugged Carmelo Anthony.
The Knicks were inbounding the ball and Anthony was near the foul line when a young boy ran down the stairs behind the basket to give Anthony a hug.
Anthony, who said he was “shocked,” patted the little boy on the head.
“That was the first time that that ever happened,” he said. “I was very surprised. I was shocked. I didn’t really know who it was until I actually looked over and saw it was a kid.”
The boy ran off the court without any security and back up the steps to his mother.
