1. King earned a silver medal in 1987 with the USA men’s basketball World University Games team.
2. An avid lover of movies and television shows, he once hosted his own movie review show called “Kings Clips” on WBNQ radio in Bloomington, Ill.
3. In May 2003, Sports Illustrated named him one of the “101 Most Influential Minorities in Sports.”
