OKLAHOMA CITY -- Andray Blatche is getting set for his Wizards reunion.

The Nets were to fly to Washington after Wednesday night's game against the Thunder for the final contest of their three-game road trip. That, of course, is where Blatche spent his first seven seasons before he was released by the Wizards in the summer after they grew tired of his poor attitude.

So far with the Nets, Blatche has been on his best behavior and is playing well in his backup center role. He entered Wednesday night averaging 10.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per game.

"The good thing about the league is every year is a new year and he's played very well," Nets interim coach P.J. Carlesimo said. "He's scored the ball, he's rebounded for us, he's blocked some shots. When he started the game against these guys was a perfect example of that.

"He's benefited frankly playing off the bench. That's a nice situation, so he hasn't always had the same matchups he had when he was playing in Washington primarily as a starter. When he has started, it hasn't been a problem for him. He's just played very well for us.''

Pick-and-roll problemsIt's one of the oldest plays in the book, yet the Nets still can't figure out how to guard it.

Their pick-and-roll defense has been atrocious of late and it's one of the main reasons they've allowed at least 100 points in three of their last four games before meeting the Thunder.

"Our rotations haven't been great defensively and that's hurt us," Joe Johnson said. "That's really hurt us, especially in the San Antonio game. So guys like myself, if you are playing on that weak side, you really have to be in and helping out the bigs.

"So we have to [start to] come out with the mind frame that we have to pack it in and have each other's back."
