LONDON -- Some news notes and quotes from Nets practice at Imperial College on Tuesday: 
 -- Jason Kidd said Deron Williams, who didn’t make the trip, is “going through his rehab and we’ll see where he’s at when he gets back.” Kidd wouldn’t commit to Williams playing against the Knicks on Monday, saying he’ll take it “day-by-day.” Asked if Williams is frustrated, Kidd said: “He wants to be with the team, he wants to be playing. But with the rehabbing, we felt it was probably best for him to stay.” 
 -- The general consensus among some players about the feasibility of the NBA having at least one team in London or Europe in the future? It’s definitely something they could see happening within the next decade or so, though there are some logistics that would be need to worked out. The biggest factor might be distance. “I don’t think it’s realistic only because of the traveling,” Kirilenko said. “Maybe if it’s going to be a like a whole division, like let’s say Euroleague is a division for the NBA and it’s like the Western and Eastern Conference [teams] playing. So like once a year they go on the other continent and play a few games, then come back and just be home. Maybe it’s going to work like that, but it definitely is not going to work coming for one game and coming back. It’s just physically impossible.” 
 -- Kirilenko, a native of Russia, said he comes here all the time in the offseason. So does he get recognized easily? “It’s a futbol country,” he said. “It’s a real futbol country, put it like that.” 
 -- Nets owner Mihkail Prokhorov is expected to attend the game, which would be his first since the Nets’ win over the Heat in their Nov. 1 home opener. 
 -- Joe Prunty, Jason Kidd’s top assistant coach, has reportedly agreed on a new deal to remain as Great Britain’s head men’s basketball coach. Prunty also served in that role over the summer, coaching the team in EuroBasket 2013.
