Is high on Nets' list of candidates. A no-nonsense coach who once stood up to Allen Iverson. Contract wasn't renewed after 2012-13 season with Grizzlies and didn't coach this past season.
Ettore Messina, 54
Last coached CSKA Moscow, the team of Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov. Regarded as one of the top coaches in Europe, having won four European titles.
George Karl, 63
Reportedly wants to get back into coaching after spending last season as an ESPN analyst. Was fired by the Nuggets following 2012-13 campaign after guiding Denver to 57 wins and being named coach of the year.
