Probe of alleged assault in Philadelphia continuing

Philadelphia police said Wednesday the investigation of an alleged sexual assault in a hotel room occupied by a Nets player was still ongoing and no more information would be released until the investigation is complete.
Police received a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a 21-year-old female at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Lt. John Stanford, a police spokesman, said no charges have been filed.
Multiple reports said that Nets backup center Andray Blatche was questioned as part of the probe.
Police commissioner Charles Ramsey told The New York Times Tuesday that Blatche is not being accused of any wrongdoing, but acknowledged that he was in the suite at Four Seasons Hotel where the alleged incident occurred.
The Nets were staying at the hotel in preparation for Tuesday's game against the 76ers, which they won, 109-89.
Before the game, Nets general manager Billy King issued a statement that there was an "investigation regarding a member of the Brooklyn Nets," but he declined further comment until "the investigation has concluded."
