Recently retired former Knick and Net Jason Kidd is pursuing the Nets' vacant coaching job, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.
The report says his candidacy for the job has been discussed with the highest levels of Brooklyn's brass. Kidd has discussed the opportunity with associates and has gone as far as to consider who he would appoint as members of his coaching staff, the report says.
Kidd spent six and a half of his 19-year NBA career playing for the Nets. The 40-year-old point guard announced his retirement last week after struggling in the postseason with the Knicks.
