Thaddeus Young to miss Nets' game against Cavs because of strained knee
Nets forward Thaddeus Young will miss Friday's game against the Cavaliers with a strained left knee, the team announced Thursday. Young suffered the injury in Wednesday's victory over Charlotte, when he stepped on the foot of the Hornets' Gerald Henderson as he sprinted downcourt on a fast break. Young crumpled to the floor, left the game, and underwent an MRI Thursday, which revealed the strain. The Nets said the 6-8 Young, who had 11 points and four rebounds before leaving Wednesday's game, is doubtful for Sunday's home game against the Lakers. Young is averaging 14.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists this season and 13.6 points and 5.1 rebounds in 18 games with the Nets since coming over from Minnesota at the trade deadline in the Kevin Garnett deal.
