Brad Lidge had an MRI on his elbow that showed no structural damage, but the Phillies closer has been placed back on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 10 with right elbow inflammation. He opened the season on the disabled list before making four appearances.

Jose Contreras will take over as the closer with Ryan Madson also on the disabled list. Contreras should be owned in all formats. He has pitched very well out of the bullpen and picked up his first save today in a win over the Brewers. He came into a 10-6 game with two runners on and issued a walk to load the bases before getting two strikeouts to end the game. He has a 0.68 ERA and 0.68 WHIP in 13 1/3 innings with an 18/2 K/BB ratio. His velocity is up several miles per hour with his fastball averaging almost 95 and his slider around 88.
