Brian Fuentes placed on the disabled list

The Angels placed closer Brian Fuentes on the 15-day disabled list with a muscle strain in the middle of his back. The move was made retroactive to April 6. Fuentes injured his back lifting weights last week. He is eligible to return April 21. Fernando Rodney will handle closing duties while Fuentes is sidelined and Rodney is a good short-term option for saves, especially if you own Fuentes.
