Wild-Sharks blockbuster
The Minnesota Wild acquired much-maligned but potentially lethal goal scorer Dany Heatley from the San Jose Sharks after Martin Havlat waived his no-move clause to head west. Heatley, 30, had consecutive 50-goal seasons in 2005-06 and 2006-07 with the Senators. Havlat, 30, scored 40 goals and had 116 points the last two seasons . . . The Maple Leafs acquired Matthew Lombardi and Cody Franson from the Predators. Toronto sent Brett Lebda and Robert Slaney to Nashville . . . Free-agent goalie Tomas Vokoun found there wasn't demand for his services, so he told the Capitals he would forgo a big contract to play for a Stanley Cup contender. The two-time all-star signed a one-year, $1.5-million deal with them late Saturday and is expected to start.-- AP
