Carlos Beltran has knee surgery
Mets centerfielder Carlos Beltran had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Wednesday and the Mets said in a statement that Beltran won't resume baseball activities for 12 weeks. If that holds true, Beltran could miss Opening Day. It is the same knee that forced Beltran to miss almost three months of the season last year.
Beltran, 32, played just 81 games last season. Beltran currently has an average draft position of 66 on mockdraftcentral.com, which means he is being taken in the sixth round of 12-team mixed league drafts. This news will drop Beltran further and could impact his stolen base opportunities.
