Carlos Delgado returns to game action
Free agent Carlos Delgado took the field for the first time since undergoing hip surgery in May. Delgado went 1-for-4 Sunday night as the cleanup hitter and designated hitter for the Carolina Giants in Puerto Rico's winter league. Delgado, 37, played 26 games with the Mets before injuring his hip. He hit .298 with four home runs and 23 RBIs.
