Shante Evans had 17 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Hofstra women's basketball team to a 66-52 victory over Saint Peter's Sunday afternoon at Yanitelli Center in Jersey City.

Nicole Capurso had 11 points, Deven Green contributed 10 points and six rebounds and Candice Bellocchio nine assists for the Pride (7-2).

Evans had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the first 20 minutes, her third double-double of the season and 35th of her career. Bellocchio had six assists in the half, which ended with the Pride ahead 33-17.

The Peahens, who once had trailed 30-11, drew within 41-33 before a 12-1 run put Hofstra ahead 53-34. Jynae Judson led Saint Peter's (0-8) with 21 points and nine rebounds. Aziza May had 15 points and seven assists.
