Hofstra women sweep doubleheader
Rachael Senatore had five hits and three RBIs as Hofstra took two games from Delaware Saturday in a CAA softball doubleheader. Senatore went 4-for-5 with two RBIs for Hofstra (17-12, 7-0) in a 9-2 Game 2 win and had a hit and an RBI as Hofstra took the first game, 3-0.
LIU Post sweeps. Aly Bzierzwnski led off a six-run second with a solo homer as Post (24-13, 12-1 ECC) took Game 2 from NY Tech, 10-1. Alexis Gonzalez and Nicole Hagenah hit back-to-back homers for Post in an 11-3 victory in Game 1.
Briarcliffe sweeps SUNY-Canton. Raina Bunai had three hits and three RBIs as Briarcliffe (9-5-1 USCAA) won Game 2, 14-1. Bianca Iaquinta had two RBIs as Briarcliffe also won the first game, 8-0. BASEBALL
Hofstra 6, Georgia State 2:John Tiedemann struck out five in 82/3 innings as Hofstra (16-12, 8-3 CAA) won its fifth straight.

Suffolk CC 16, Dean College 6: Michael Marciano had four goals for Suffolk CC (7-3) in non-conference.
WOMEN'S LACROSSE
Adelphi 19, Stonehill 7:Meg Brown and Sara Sangiorgio had four goals each for No. 2 Adelphi (9-1, 6-1) in Northeast-10 action. LIU Post 20, Merrimack 10:Junior Ashley Olsen had a career-high nine goals to lead LIU Post (8-1) in a non-league matchup.
