Digging deep for sleepers
Everyone is looking for that breakout player that has yet to do much, but could play a factor in the fantasy playoffs. Someone who could fit in that category is Packers running back James Starks. Since Ryan Grant got injured ending his season, the Packers have used Brandon Jackson and John Kuhn to run the ball and neither has been impressive.
The likelihood of a trade seems slim now that Marshawn Lynch was shipped to Seattle. The Packers have nothing to lose by seeing what Starks can do. Dimitri Nance may get a shot before Starks, who is currently on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list with a hamstring injury. He is eligible to return after Week 6. He was very impressive in the offseason and is big and athletic with a quick burst at 6-2, 218 pounds. He missed the 2009 season at Buffalo after undergoing shoulder surgery. If you have the roster space to stash him, consider it.
