"I feel great, man. I'm getting better every day," the running back said in his first comments since fracturing a bone in his right foot against the Dolphins on Oct. 30. He's missed the last two games and has not practiced but is close to a return. Asked when he thinks he might return to test his foot, Bradshaw said: "I probably could now."
He added, "I want to rest it as much as I can. Maybe there's a chance I'll get out there this week, maybe not . . . We're going to take it day by day. I feel good this week, and next week is a different story. I think I'll be able to jump back and at least use all my weight on my foot."
Bradshaw said he expects to play the rest of this season. "I've surprised myself with how much progress I've [made]," he said.
It's been nearly seven months since Prince Amukamara was taken in the first round, and fans of the team have yet to see him play. That could change Sunday. All physical restrictions have been lifted from the rookie cornerback, who practiced fully Thursday, and Tom Coughlin said it is just a matter of his mastering the schemes. "I think he's pretty close," Coughlin said.
Amukamara said he'll be a game-time decision. "I have been getting more reps," he said. "I'm sure they wouldn't waste reps on anybody. I would just say that it is more promising this week."
