58. "THE ADDAMS FAMILY"
Great '60s sitcom, and part of an era's preoccupation with utter escapism.
The last time an NFL game was played on a Wednesday was in 1948 when the Rams beat the Lions, 44-7. That will change on Sept. 5 when the Giants host the Cowboys in the NFL opener.
It will be the first time the Giants play on a Wednesday in nearly 78 years. They are also 2-0 all-time in regular-season openers played on Wednesdays.
Here are the five games that the Giants played in the middle of the week:
Nov. 11, 1925
vs Rochester Jeffersons
Won, 13-0
*Sept. 17, 1930
at Newark Tornadoes
Won, 32-0
Nov. 5, 1930
at Portsmouth Spartans
Won, 19-6
Sept 30, 1931

Lost, 14-6
*Sept. 20, 1933

Oct. 3, 1934
