Ahmad Bradshaw took a knee to his back in the game on Monday and missed practice because of it Thursday. He was limited on Wednesday and Coughlin said it's unclear if the running back will be available to play Saturday against the Jets.

"He really can't do what he has to do so they held him again," Coughlin said, adding that the injury is not a long-term concern.

Giant steps

RB Brandon Jacobs said that he enjoyed running over Redskins safety LaRon Landry three years ago more than making Bears safety Major Wright fall down with an inside juke on Monday night. But "for somebody who's as big as I am to be able to do something like that, that's also special, too," he added . . . Tynes said he is "way ahead of where I'm supposed to be" in his rehab from a bruised thigh suffered against the Panthers in the preseason opener, but it's unclear if he'll be able to kick again this preseason. Rhys Lloyd will kick for the Giants Saturday . . . WR Duke Calhoun (hamstring) did not practice.
