Beckum says he's good to go; Giants hope so

What? One day into prep for the Panthers and the Giants are already taking a day off?
Tuesdays in the NFL are like that. Unless you have a Monday nighter or some other quirk in the schedule, Tuesday is the day for players to rest, rehab and recover while coaches finalize a gameplan. On Wednesday, those plans are passed along to the players.
Will Travis Beckum be in this week's gameplan? The Giants would certainly like him to be. And with just two tight ends on the roster, he almost needs to be.
Greg Logan hit Beckum up for some answers yesterday a little after Tom Coughlin essentially called out the second-year player for missing so many practices and spoke about how much they need him on the practice field.
"I haven't had much chemistry with any of the quarterbacks," Beckum said. "But I've been staying in there mentally with Eli and I'm looking forward to these practices this week and seeing how Sunday goes."

I also have to tell you that we're going to host a live chat here at 12:30 today. We had some good interaction last week with lots of questions. Now that we are just a few days from the opener and the roster is pretty much set, I'm sure there are some other questions you have.
Fire away!
