A few updates on the injury front:

If you were wondering where Andre Brown was in the backfield or on kickoff returns, he did not dress for the game because of a turf toe injury he said he sustained in practice earlier this week. He could be out two weeks from the time of the injury, so a return for the regular season opener is possible. Unlikely, but possible. Brown was in a boot on his right foot and the trainers told him to wear it whenever he is walking.

“To get back and work all the way back,” Brown said of his return from a ruptured Achilles tendon last summer. “I know it’s a preseason game but I love the game of football and I wanted to be out there with the guys … I would have probably gotten a lot more reps in this game and that was something that I needed before we head into the regular season.”

The other injury was Phillip Dillard, who hurt his hamstring on one of his first snaps early in the second half. “It got a little tight on me,” Dillard said. “I’ll be all right.” Dillard did say, though, that even if it was in a regular season game he wouldn’t have been able to continue.
