Running back Andre Brown breaks through the hole at Giants...

A few days ago I noted that I wouldn't be surprised if Andre Brown and LenDale White were somehow brought together. Brown is coming back from a ruptured Achilles that kept him sidelined for all of the 2009 season and White just ruptured his Achilles and will miss 2010. I thought maybe some of Brown's Giants teammates who played with White at USC would play connect-the-dots.

Then the Giants waived Brown, no doubt hoping to keep him on their practice squad. But that didn't happen because Brown was claimed off waivers by the Broncos. Yes, the team LenDale White plays for. Or played for before his Achilled popped.

I was glad to see Brown land someplace where he'll have a chance to play. He worked very hard to come back from his injury, which happened early in training camp last year. He had some setbacks throughout the spring but he looked to be healthy for most of the summer. He wound up on the outside of the Giants' 53-man roster mostly due to special teams considerations. Now it seems like he'll at least have a chance to suit up and play for the Broncos, a team that could wind up with the first and the second running back to come back from a ruptured Achilles.
