Canty thought Hurd was 'a family guy'

Chris Canty said Friday he was shocked to hear that Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd, a former teammate on the Cowboys, was arrested on a charge of dealing drugs.

"It's something you only see in a movie. That's why it's just shocking," the Giants defensive lineman said. "Sam always struck me as a family guy. He didn't strike me as a big hang-out-off-the-field kind of guy. I'm shocked. I don't know what else to say."
