Canty will be ready for training camp, likely skip offseason workouts

Chris Canty knew he'd have to have arthroscopic surgery on his knee around the time the playoffs began in January. He played through it, knowing he would face the clean-up procedure at the end of the season. That finish line kept getting pushed back with each Giants win, though, all the way to the Super Bowl.

"It was all worth it," Canty said at the Dress for Success Something to Share gala in Manhattan where his mother, Shirley, was speaking on Tuesday night.

Canty said he expects to be ready for the start of training camp in July.

"In so far as the OTAs and minicamps, we're going to be smart," he said."I don't know how much participation I'll have with that. But we're going to be ready for training camp."
