As the Giants inched closer and closer to their 27-26 comeback victory over the Colts Saturday night, there was a thought in the back of every Giants fan's mind:

Corey Washington.

It turns out that even Corey Washington was thinking that.

"I had a feeling," he told Newsday shortly after hauling in his third game-winning touchdown reception in three weeks. "I was like: This is our time right here."

Washington may have an impressive three touchdown catches, but each has come in the fourth quarter against the backups to the backups. Before he can cement his place on the 53-man roster, he needs to show the Giants that he can perform against a higher level of competition.

"That's their choice," Washington said of when he plays. "I would love to go up against the first and second team to show them that it don't matter what number of the depth chart they are, I can still go out there and do the same thing I do."
