Tom Coughlin ripped his offense -- in particular his offensive line -- when he spoke after Sunday night's loss, noting that they were "completely outplayed" and calling the 29 rushing yards they produced "about as pathetic as it can get." With his temper somewhat cooled off Monday, Coughlin stood by those remarks.

"I wish I wasn't right," he said.

Coughlin said that the lack of a running game and poor pass protection wasn't just about the offensive line. There were fullbacks, tight ends and receivers who missed blocks, too. But clearly, it's the players up front who drew the most criticism from Coughlin. "You don't want to see an individual or a group that is not able to do their job because they're getting their butt whipped," Coughlin said.

Boley gets defensive

LB Michael Boley did not play Sunday with a hamstring injury, but he was feeling spry enough to challenge Coughlin's rough take on the team's lack of physical play in the loss to the Eagles.

"That's his assessment," Boley said. "I always say coaches coach, players play. We're the ones in the trenches. We really know what goes on down there. For someone to say this is what happened doesn't mean nothing to me."

Giant steps

RB Ahmad Bradshaw, who has missed three games with a cracked bone in his right foot, has not been cleared to practice yet . . . TE Jake Ballard sprained his elbow but Coughlin said he should be able to play through it . . . LT Will Beatty had tests Monday to determine the root of back issues that caused him to sit out a practice last week and flared up after the game . . . CB Michael Coe (shoulder) will require surgery and will be put on injured reserve . . . The Giants activated DT Jimmy Kennedy (four-game suspension) and waived DT Dwayne Hendrix.
