Tom Coughlin said that Aaron Ross is expected to have a “dual role” for the team this week, which means starting at cornerback and returning punts for the injured Domenik Hixon.
But the big question is how Ross handles the adversity of being benched on Monday night. His initial reaction to the situation – which included some pouting on the bench – was not encouraging. Eventually he was put back in the game, though, and got to return punts.
Coughlin was asked if Ross’s mind and attitude is in the right place.
“I think he is,” Coughlin said. “I was planning on seeing him this morning but I didn’t get a chance to talk to him. He’s going to come in and visit with me. We’ll have it all straightened out. He wants to do the right thing.”
