Cullen Jenkins sends zingers at Jerry Jones

Cullen Jenkins fired back at Jerry Jones, who accused the Giants -- and without naming him, Jenkins -- of faking injuries against the Cowboys.

"I don't know what he saw if he thinks I was faking,'' Jenkins said Thursday. "Maybe he can get his son-in-law to clean his glasses a little better next time so he can see what's going on out there.''

The reference was to a clip of Jones having his spectacles wiped by his son-in-law during a game last year. Jenkins also took exception to Jones' saying the Giants' flops were "so obvious it was funny.''

"I think he just wanted something to say,'' Jenkins said. "I guess at his age I'm glad he has a sense of humor still.''

Jenkins said he hurt his shoulder on the play. "It's all good,'' he said. "They got the win, so they got the last laugh and the period.''

Connor to IR

Starting middle linebacker Dan Connor left the opener with a burner in his neck, his second such injury in two games, and went on season-ending injured reserve Thursday. Mark Herzlich will start Sunday against Denver.

CB Prince Amukamara (concussion) missed a second straight practice, but the Giants hope he'll be cleared to return Friday . . . DT Linval Joseph was fined $15,000 for a low hit on Tony Romo.
