The three Giants offensive starters who missed Sunday's game with injuries are at three different phases of their rehab. There is a chance they all could play on Sunday, though.
Center David Baas, the former 49er who has a knee injury, was limited in practice but barring a setback this week expects to play against his old team. Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is optimistic about playing as well. He did not practice but did run full speed on the side to test his sore hamstring. "It felt good," Nicks said. "Going to stick to the plan of more and more each day. Tomorrow I'll do a little bit more. No setbacks, and that's always a good sign."
Lastly, Ahmad Bradshaw was not on the practice field at all. Tom Coughlin, however, said there is a chance he could play on Sunday with a stress fracture in his right foot.
"He's better than he was last week, that's for sure," Coughlin said. "He is walking around. If he keeps getting better, we'll see [if he can play]."
Prince works with 'D'
Rookie cornerback Prince Amukamara spent time on the field with the Giants' actual defense Wednesday, the first time he's done so since returning to practice from a foot injury three weeks ago. Until Wednesday, the first-round pick had been working with the scout team. "Just a couple of snaps here and there, nothing too major, just gradually getting in there," Amukamara said. "I think the biggest part is to just show the coaches that I'm ready and just gain their trust in me just by doing the right things on the field and not making mental errors."
Giant steps
For the first time this season, DE Justin Tuck was not on the injury report . . . WR Jerrel Jernigan (hip) did not practice after injuring himself on his first career touch Sunday, a kickoff return . . . OT Stacy Andrews (back) returned to practice after two weeks out and was limited.
