Dolphins to open northeast bureau on Friday

I've heard it said before that Miami is the sixth borough of New York City. Apparently that's not close enough for the Dolphins.

The Dolphins will be spending a little extra time in the New York area this weekend, tweaking their usual travel plans and flying up for Sunday's game against the Jets on Friday morning instead of the typical Saturday morning or afternoon. When they get here on Friday, they'll have a short workout at the Giants' Timex Performance Center. The Giants were asked a few weeks back if they wouldn't mind if the Dolphins used their facility, and they agreed to it.

Of course this has Jets fans up in arms about the betrayal of the Giants, an organization that takes any chance it can to twist the Jets' drawers. I'm not so sure about that. I doubt that the Giants were thinking that this is a way to screw the Jets when they agreed to the situation.

But I'd be willing to bet that they're taking some pleasure from the paranoia of Jets fans today.
