Eli has glowing words for Peyton

INDIANAPOLIS -- Eli Manning said he is no longer in the business of ranking quarterbacks after his comments about his own status spiraled away from him during the summer. And Tuesday when asked about where Tom Brady stands among the all-timers, he shied away from any kind of opinion (although he conceded he's a future Hall of Famer).
But there is one quarterback who he clearly thinks very highly of and doesn't mind saying so.
"Peyton has had an unbelievable career," Eli Manning said of his big brother, who was in Indianapolis making more headlines than he will. "Since I've been watching football, I haven't seen anybody play at a higher level than he has. It has always been my goal to get to his level of football, to get to his level of play. That is something that I've worked on. I've watched him in situations and I'm just amazed [by] some of the throws and plays he's made in his career."
In an interview with NFL Network, Manning addressed the speculation about Peyton Manning playing elsewhere.
"It'd be tough," he said. "He's been so important to this town. When he came to Indianapolis, they were not known for their football. It was truly a basketball town. He's changed that image a little bit, and it would be hard to imagine him playing somewhere else."
Brewer bears all
Rookie tackle James Brewer probably won't play in the Super Bowl, but he has an important job nonetheless. He has to carry the teddy bear.
"In 2007 they brought the bear to every game, including the Super Bowl in Arizona when we beat the Patriots," Brewer said. "The veterans gave me the task of carrying the bear here. It's a good-luck charm kind of thing."
Linebacker Jacquian Williams was walking without the protective boot on his sprained right foot and said he expects to be able to practice Wednesday.
