Eli would probably rather play golf against Peyton than football

While we’re talking about Eli and Peyton – and yes, we are all talking about Eli and Peyton – I spoke about this upcoming game with the Giants’ version of Mr. Manning a few weeks ago. It appeared in our NFL Preview Section that ran last week. You can read the whole thing here.
Here is the part about playing the Colts in Week 2:
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. You don't know how many more chances you're going to get to look across there when they're signing the national anthem and see your big brother. He's in his 13th year and this is the second time. If it happens in four more years, you don't know what the situation will be in four years. It is a special thing and it doesn't happen very often. You try to enjoy it but not make it bigger than anything it is. We're playing the Colts and once the game starts it's a game."
I also asked him a question about golf that was left on the cutting room floor. It was one of those dumb questions about who would be in his ideal foursome. He didn’t really hesitate:
“The good thing about having two older brothers and a dad is you have your natural foursome right there. We don’t get to have a whole lot of family outings anymore, so we take advantage of it when we do have all the boys together. We’ve had some good games in the past and it’s always fun for us.”
So the Manning Bowl isn't the only time they compete. There might be a Manning Cup as well.
I also asked where they would play.
“Wherever we can get on,” he said.
I suggested they try calling ahead.
