Fewell saw his plan work against the Eagles
Perry Fewell spent part of his Tuesday night watching some football. And what he saw looked familiar.
It was the Vikings taking shot after shot at Michael Vick, getting him off his rhythm and bothering him with physical play and blitzes. The Vikings essentially used the Giants’ blueprint from their first two games against the Eagles – both of which saw the Giants with a fourth-quarter lead – and simply were able to keep it going for 60 minutes.
“I did find it interesting,” Fewell said of the similarities between the Vikings’ gameplan and the Giants’ against the Eagles.
Does that mean that the Giants’ plan could work if they get another shot at the Eagles? Say, next weekend?
“Yes it could,” Fewell said. “It can work and it will work if we get back to it, no doubt. I look forward to that.”
Fewell wouldn’t say how much he is looking forward to it, but clearly it’s in the back of his mind as the Giants prepare for the Redskins and a possible playoff game – should they make it in – in Philadelphia.
“Let’s just win this weekend,” he said when asked about how much he’s thinking about the Eagles, “and then I’d love to answer that question next week.”
