There’s been a lot of speculation about Perry Fewell’s future with the team, especially considering he originally signed a two-year contract that would have expired at the end of this season. It had some fans drooling over a possible return of Steve Spagnulo. But it turns out Fewell isn’t going anywhere (unless, of course, it’s as a head coach).

According to Fewell’s agent, the defensive coordinator signed a two-year extension last January after a series of interviews for head coach openings. That means that he’s under contract through the 2012 season.

“He’s a Giant,” his agent said.

At least he will be for the 2012 season.
