Perry Fewell said on the first day of training camp that he expected to see “quantum leaps” in the performance of Kenny Phillips. On the eve of the regular season, confessed that he had not seen those improvements during the preseason. Now, nearly a month into the regular season, Fewell said he is thrilled with Phillips’ play.
“I think Kenny Phillips is playing really, really good football,” he said. “Very pleased with how he is breaking on the ball or when he’s tackling. We have a term, he’s just ballin’. And he really is. I think he’s ballin’ out there for us.”
Quantum leaps?
“No doubt,” Fewell said.
