No other active coaches in the NFL have faced each other in the regular season as often as Tom Coughlin and Jeff Fisher. The two will once again square off Sunday, for the 18th time in their careers.

Most of those meetings came when Coughlin was coaching the Jaguars and was in the same division as Fisher’s Oilers (which became the Titans). Fisher holds a 10-7 lead in their regular season rivalry and his Titans beat Coughlin’s Jaguars in their only playoff meeting, the 1999 AFC Championship Game.

As Coughlin pointed out today, they also went to Iraq together during a USO Tour last summer.

How far back does Coughlin’s rivalry with Fisher go? His first game as an NFL head coach was Sept. 3, 1995, against Fisher and the Oilers. His first win as a head coach? Four weeks later. Against Fisher.
