Fox, NFL cross fingers on Giants

If the Giants's game is not moved to tomorrow night but they do not arrive in Minneapolis in time for a 1 p.m. Eastern Time start today, forcing a delay until 4:05, Fox still will show the Giants-Vikings game in the New York market but no 1 o'clock game. The network only has a singleheader this week, with Ch. 2 in New York slated to show the Steelers-Bengals game at 1 and Dolphins-Jets at 4:15. CBS has another big 4:15 game with the Patriots visiting the Bears. That is why, from a TV standpoint, the NFL would rather have the Giants play at 1 than in the late afternoon slot.
